Byakuya Kuchiki and Jin Kariya battle. Kariya reveals his doll, which controls wind. Ichigo joins in the fight to assist Byakuya but Kariya is still not overcome. Both shinigami eventually use their bankai, Ichigo shortly after entering the battle and Byakuya just as the episode ends. Meanwhile, Koga Gowa and Ichinose convince the majority of Kusajishi’s inhabitants to join them in revolt, trying to create a “new Soul Society”.
