After being brought before Aizen, Orihime is asked to demonstrate her power by restoring Grimmjow’s arm. Upon doing so, Grimmjow asks her to restore his tattoo. With that done, he quickly kills Luppi to regain his rank. Though worried that her actions might only cause more fighting, Orihime resolves to make herself useful until Soul Society has prepared for the upcoming war. Meanwhile, Ichigo, Sado, and Uryū make their way in Hueco Mundo. Along the way, Uryū reveals why he is breaking his promise to his father not to associate with shinigami; since Ichigo is a shinigami substitute and has been abandoned by Soul Society, he doesn’t consider Ichigo one of them. The episode concludes with Kurosaki Isshin meeting with Ryūken Ishida in the training chamber underneath the latter’s hospital, who talks to him about both their sons.
