Ichigo tries to reach out to Rurichiyo, but she recognizes neither him nor the rest. EnryÅ« unleashes his zanpakutÅ, which becomes a pair of large floating fists, and destroys the building. Ichigo uses the confusion to reach Rurichiyo and reveals Kumoi’s intentions to Kannogi, Rurichiyo’s fiancé. Rurichiyo attacks him, revealing herself to be an impostor. Soifon prevents Ichigo from harming Kumoi and Rurichiyo by allowing them to escape. KenryÅ« and EnryÅ« are apprehended, but Ichigo and Rukia manage to escape with Kannogi’s help. The three hatch a plan to get past the 2nd division by pretending to take Kannogi hostage.
